Marvel’s Runaways has brought aboard the composer for This Is Us with its premiere just months away. The new Marvel Television series, the first to be released exclusively on streaming network Hulu, wrapped filming on its pilot episode in March and is now well into post-production. The series is expected to be released sometime in the 2017-18 winter season. Runaways, which tells the story of a group of teenagers who leave their homes after discovering that their parents are super-villains from an evil crime syndicate, is Marvel’s first concerted effort to reach an even younger audience than that of other series from the company’s prolific output. Naturally, the studio wants the music to also reflect this so would be expected to call upon the talents of a composer with experience scoring for shows that appeal to similar demographics.
